i’m just gonna start trolling random tumblr accounts now.
Homegirl Tiffany really made me crack the fuck up when she replied with “I really can’t be bothered”.
That was some gangster ass shit.
princessmaetel asked: Also, the comments against her target market did not originate on her "personal facebook" but on her tumblr. which is public. For all to see. On a post she reblogged from someone. Who was a gyaru blog.
First things first: I totally agree with you that she acted out of line with the death threats. I think you need to reconsider how plausible they are, seeing she’s some chick in Austin, and the threats were against someone from God knows where.
Indeed, she has an online shop. But she doesn’t have to report to the Better Business Bureau, as far as I know. The Internet is a place for freedom now, where we can say just about anything we want, offensive as it may be. Trinidad James gets away with guns and weed, she’ll get away with talking shit to people. Just how it’s gonna happen. It’s the internet.
Now, about the Gyaru being part of her market….
Look, I’m no fucking fashionista. I don’t know what the fuck is going on with all that. But here’s my view on it.
Let’s say I own a grocery store that sells vegetables and meat. I can come out and say “I think vegetarians are stupid.” Now if a vegetarian chooses to continue to shop with me, I’ll serve them all day, to the best of my ability, as a business owner, but it won’t change my opinion on their dietary choices. Now the vegetarian has to decide if I have good enough produce to outsell the other markets.
Is this a good business practice? No. But I still see gay people eating at Chic-Fil-A, so it’s working…
And even more so, this was a part of her target market that she voiced an opinion on. It seems like there’s a lot of stuff on her page that would be interesting to girls from a lot of different backgrounds and senses of style, not just Gyaru. It’s called Sassynpunk, correct? That sounds like it’s aimed at girls who are into punk rock or into standing out in general. Sure, she has some influence from Japanese culture in there, but that doesn’t give you the right to own it for just Gyarus.
And in the case of the comments being from her tumblr….Then who’s the immature one taking it to Leyla’s facebook page?
I think both sides are dumb. If you didn’t like what she had to say, unfollow her, block her page if you want, don’t buy from her shop.
But to attempt to crucify her over something so petty as thinking the way you dress is absurd sounds mighty immature to me. Even like you have some issues with self confidence that you’re hiding behind your fake lenses.
So what’s really trill.
princessmaetel asked: I think you were missing the point of the whole leyla deal. shes a business owner. business owners are supposed to be friendly to customers no matter what. Gyaru are part of her target market. So basically she took a huge shit on her target market. And then when somebody calls her out on it, she takes a bigger shit on them among death threats. Shes making herself look like a brat and she needs to know its unacceptable. youre not helping.
